MySQL Programmer for Hire

Are you looking for a MySQL programmer?

I’m Brett, and I’d be pleased to bid for any MySQL job you might need doing.

I’ve been a database programmer for over 15 years. I am highly experienced with developing on a number of relational databases, including Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL.

I Love MySQL!

I started my database programming career on Microsoft’s SQL Server – a database designed for larger businesses. However, I’ve found MySQL to be a lot more convenient for smaller businesses. In fact, I’ve switched to using MySQL for my own websites.

SQL Server is a behemoth – MySQL is compact and efficient. The online dating site I developed in 2012 uses MySQL as the back-end database. And any future development I will do will likely use this database.

Why Else Should You Hire Me?

  • I operate a legitimate, UK based software company. Unlike the many fake companies you see with websites, my Limited Company is 100% legitimate – you can find it listed it at Companies House (search for company no. 4493816).
  • I’m a British national and a native English speaker.
  • I will treat your work in confidence – in fact while I worked onsite at the Charity Commission I was security cleared with the UK government.
  • I learnt my database development skills from working for a London based IT consultancy, and our clients included Manpower Sweden, Autoglass, GKN and other well known companies.
  • I’m happy to quote for work on a fixed price, hourly rate or a rolling-contract basis.
  • With my own websites, I’ve designed my databases to be as efficient as possible, allowing me to host busy sites on shared hosting environments that often have quite strict database size limitations.
  • I’m also a web developer, and I can assist with the creation and enhancement of database connected websites. My core skills are with Microsoft’s ASP.NET, the legacy Active Server Pages (ASP) as well as PHP. I’m also familar with both phpBB and WordPress, and use both of them on my own websites.

Geographical location isn’t usually a problem for database related jobs. Most MySQL work can usually be performed remotely, using the phpMyAdmin web based software. Here’s a screenshot of phpMyAdmin in action:
