applications for clients which include Active Health
Imaging, King's College London and The EuroPanel
Users' Network.
Active Health Imaging
Active Health Imaging offer Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging services, a non-invasive
alternative to other pain and breast screening procedures. The website describes the
organisation's services and allow potential patients to contact the organisation.
King's College London
Winnersh Triangle Web Solutions Limited converted a number of web based applications
from FileMaker Pro 5.5 (Windows NT) to a system using MySQL and PHP 4 (Unix). The work
included a significant amount of database design and data transfer. All of the fixed price
contracts were completed on time and to budget. The Clearing application in particular was
very successful, and was used by over 900 prospective students in August 2002.
The EuroPanel Users' Network (EPUNet)
The EuroPanel Users' Network (EPUNet) was set up by the European Panel Analysis Group
to provide a forum for support and pooling of experience among new and experienced
analysts of the European Community Household Panel. It is funded as a Thematic Network
within the EU Fifth Framework "Improving the Human Research Potential and the
Socio-Economic Knowledge Base" programme. The EPUNet website offers details of the
services offered by the network, including news, conferences and other events. There are
also facilities for searching the EPUNet's data services and publications databases.
The HTML pages for the website (created by a different company) were converted to a
dynamic site using PHP. The website uses the open source PostgreSQL database.
Products
Since the ASP Documentation Tool was released in May 2002, the company's products
have been our products have been purchased by more than 300 organisations and individual
users from over 20 different countries (see chart below). Users include large
multinational companies, small businesses (including many web design and development
companies) and public sector organisations.

ASP Documentation Tool
The ASP Documentation Tool is a
Microsoft Windows application that creates project documentation for ASP sites written in
VBScript and JScript, together with the SQL Server 2000 and Access databases and Visual
Basic 6.0 ActiveX objects that the site may use. The application parses the website, and
creates comprehensive reports in HTML, plain text and Microsofts HTML Help format.
The reports assist development teams by showing (for example) where functions are used,
and which ActiveX objects are used on a site. Searchable syntax highlighted versions of
source code are included.
.NET Documentation Tool
Based on the ASP Documentation Tool, the .NET Documentation Tool creates
documentation for applications developed using Microsoft's .NET Framework. Both the C# and
Visual Basic.NET programming languages are supported. There is additional support for the
ASP.NET web development environment.
SQL Documentation Tool
The SQL Documentation Tool creates
documentation for Microsoft SQL 7.0, 2000 and 2005 databases. The utility is used by many
businesses in order to save time and money on their documentation processes and by
developers to assist with database development projects.
VB Documentation Tool
The VB Documentation Tool creates
documentation for Visual Basic 6.0 applications and associated Microsoft Access and SQL
Server databases.
PHP Documentation Tool
The PHP Documentation Tool creates
documentation for the PHP open source web development environment and associated Microsoft
Access and SQL Server databases.
Indexing Service Companion
The Indexing Service Companion extends
the functionality of Windows NT 4.0 Servers Index Server and Windows 2000 Server and
above's Indexing Service so that it can be used to index and search content from remote
websites (including those hosted on Unix/Linux). It also has a host of other features,
such as the ability to retain query strings and obey robots.txt files/robots meta tags. As
such it can be used as a low cost alternative to Microsofts Site Server 3.0 Search
or Sharepoint.
The Website Utility
The Website Utility uses web crawling
technology to check website for common errors and assists in optimising a website for
search engines. It also creates useful content for a website, such as a table of contents
page (site map) as well as a search facility based on either client-side JavaScript or
server-side Active Server Pages (ASP).
