Known Issues
When installing the ASP Documentation Tool version 6.8 or earlier you see the
error message "Setup cannot continue because some system files are out of date on
your system. Click OK if you would like setup to update these files for you now. You will
need to restart Windows before you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit setup without
updating system files." After rebooting the same error message reappears. This
is a known issue and is usually caused by previous software installations leaving
temporary files behind - see this Microsoft
Knowledge Base Article for possible resolutions to the issue. Note this issue
was resolved by using a different installer for version 7.5 onwards.
If when trying to install the ASP Documentation Tool version 6.8 or earlier
you receive one of the following messages:
Please insert disk <number>
Or
Cannot find file '<file or folder name>'. Please insert disk '<number>'
Then you may need to remove files left over from installing the previous application
you installed. See the Microsoft support document Q216158 for further
information: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=216158.
If you get an error message similar to the following while attempting to install
the product:
Cannot find file '<DRIVE LETTER>:\<FILENAME>. Please insert disk'.
Then it is possible that the drive you are installing the application from does not
fully support the use of long filenames. Try installing the application from another disk.
